Snup takes no picture, or I only see the wallpaper.

Snup needs permission to record the screen. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and turn on Snup. Then quit Snup and open it again.

macOS asks again whether Snup may record the screen.

Recent versions of macOS ask you to confirm the permission now and then. It's macOS asking. Click Allow and Snup carries on as before.

How do I change the folder?

Open Settings → Saving and click Choose… next to Folder. Turn on Save to the folder automatically if every snup should be saved there too.

How long does a link work?

Links from nstatxt.com work for 3 days, then the file is deleted. If a link needs to last longer, choose your own Cloudflare R2 bucket or your own server in Settings → Sharing.

How do I stop a recording?

Press ⇧⌘2 again, or click the red timer in the menu bar. Press esc to cancel the recording.
